There are many reasons for the arc short circuit failure of the panel, which are generally divided into the following five categories:
(1) Insulation failure. Mainly because the insulation material in the cabinet has insufficient creepage distance, it does not meet the requirements of reinforced insulation, and insulation failure occurs in dirty environment and wet weather. On the other hand, due to defects in the material of the insulating material, the operating time is long, and some panels are insulated and aged under the action of a strong magnetic field electric field, which may also cause insulation damage and malfunction.
(2) The current carrying circuit is defective. For example, due to insufficient joint sections, the fastening bolts are loose, and the contacts of the handlebars are in poor contact, causing heat and fire when a large current flows, thereby causing phase-to-phase and relative breakdown.
(3) Foreign objects enter. For example, small animals (rats, etc.) enter the interior of the panel, or maintenance personnel leave the tools in the panel after the work is completed.
(4) Human error. Such as the wrong interval, misuse, forget to ground the work area and check the power.
(5) System aspects. Such as increased system capacity, changes in grounding methods, increased cable applications, improper protection and automatic control device configuration, system resonant overvoltage.
